Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking a part-time registered nurse to provide direct clinical care to residents at our Wentworth Falls aged care home. Reporting to the Care Manager, you will lead and coach the personal care team while upholding high standards of safety and care.

Requires current AHPRA registration as a Year 2+ RN, knowledge of aged care legislation and AN-ACC processes, and strong communication skills. Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDIS clearance is expected.

Job description

• Location - Bodington, Wentworth Falls
• Perm part-time opportunities available (Week 1: Wednesday 6.45am - 1pm, Friday 4.30-10pm; Week 2: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 6.45am - 1pm, Wednesday 14.30-10pm)
• Pay rate – $48- $60 per hour + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Bodington, Wentworth Falls, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar, you must be a Year 2+ RN
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
