Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking a registered nurse for Maranatha Lodge, Batehaven, NSW. You will deliver high-quality clinical nursing care to residents, lead the personal care team, and ensure safe, person-centred care within a not-for-profit aged care setting.

Your role reports to the Care Manager and requires AHPRA registration, strong knowledge of aged care standards, and excellent communication and coaching skills.

• Max Term to cover Maternity Leave
• Shifts WK 1 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Shifts WK 2 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Pay rate – $48.50 - $60.30 per hour depending on experience + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Maranatha Lodge, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About The Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
