Uniting AgeWell Hawthorn is seeking a Permanent Part Time Registered Nurse to provide person-centered care to residents with complex needs. You will deliver nursing care, support families and contribute to a compassionate team in a residential aged care setting.

The role is Thu-Fri-Sat 14:45-22:00 with visa and availability checks. The organisation offers above award rates, salary packaging up to $15,900 + $2,650, annual leave loading, career pathways, and a comprehensive Employee Assistance

Formación

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Div 1
• Minimum 1–2 years as a registered nurse in residential aged care
• Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desirable)
• Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on the spot problem solving
• Demonstrated abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills
• Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
• Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Responsabilidades

• Deliver high quality nursing skills to residents and support their families, with consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
• Complex needs require following skillsets: catheter management incl. catheterization; palliative care incl. syringe driver management; wound management; identification and escalation of clinical deterioration; strong documentation skills with knowledge of ANACC
• Provide leadership, support, orientation and education to Enrolled Nurses and Extended Care Assistants
• Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management

About the role:

Permanent Part Time (Thu, Fri, Sat 14:45 - 22:00) or (Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed 14:45 - 22:00). Please make sure your availability and Visa conditions are aligned to these requirements before applying.

Be an integral part of the team at Uniting AgeWell Hawthorn, offering person centred care to our residents.

Provide care to residents with complex needs such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management, a level one registered nurse is responsible for a level of administrative responsibilities, including:

• A current Working With Children Check (VIC) Employee card
• Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
