Job summary

Uniting AgeWell is seeking a dedicated Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed) to provide high-quality, person-centred care at Box Hill. The role supports Registered Nurses and Personal Care Workers, delivering nursing care to residents with dementia, palliative needs and complex conditions.

Permanent part-time roster Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays 14:45–22:00, with casual shifts available; you will have access to above-award pay, salary packaging, annual leave loading and pathways for education.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2).
• Minimum 2 years experience as an Enrolled Nurse in residential aged care.
• Experience with dementia care and palliative care support is desirable.
• Strong decision making, critical analysis and problem solving.
• Ability to delegate and prioritise in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centered care to residents and families.
• Assist Registered Nurses in coordinating care and daily nursing tasks.
• Support nursing staff with assessment, care planning, documentation and evaluation.
• Assess and monitor residents, communicate changes to the care team.
• Adhere to medication safety guidelines and best practice standards.

About the role:

We have a Permanent Part Time roster available for Sun, Mon & Tue (14:45 – 22:00) as well as opportunities for additional Casuals who have commitment/availability to pick up at least 3 shifts per week.

These opportunities are not suitable for:

• students with inconsistent availability and/or Visa restrictions
• people already working 3 or more shifts a week with another employer
• people looking for Employer Sponsorship

Provide dedicated leadership and supervision to Personal Care Workers and support Registered Nurses in their role to promote a harmonious team approach to the delivery of resident care at Uniting AgeWell – Box Hill

• Deliver high quality, person centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
• Provide excellence in nursing care to residents with complex needs such palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management to enhance their wellbeing
• To support nursing staff regarding assessment and care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes
• Analyse risk, implement strategies and participate in clinical handover with Registered Nurses
• Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with the Registered Nurse

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2)
• Minimum 2 years experience as an Enrolled Nurse in residential aged care (must have)
• Demonstrated experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
• Excellence in decision making, critical analysis and on the spot problem solving
• Demonstrated abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one on one interactions with all levels of care partners
• Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
