Job summary

Catholic Healthcare in Lane Cove, NSW is seeking a part-time registered nurse to deliver high-quality clinical care to residents in our aged care home. You will work on mornings and afternoons across Mon-Wed, reporting to the Care Manager and leading a supportive personal care team.

Applicants must hold AHPRA registration, a Bachelor of Nursing, and a sound understanding of Aged Care Legislation and AN-ACC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing and AHPRA registration are required.
• Solid understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards.
• Familiarity with AN-ACC assessment processes.
• Strong clinical knowledge of aging health issues.
• Coaching and training abilities for care staff.
• Effective conflict resolution and high emotional intelligence.
• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDIS clearance.

• Location - Lane Cove
• Casual / part time – ( Mon, Tue, Wed- Morning and afternoon Shifts).
• Pay rate – $48.50- $60.30 per hour + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at St peters Lane Cove, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
