Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited in Darlinghurst is seeking a casual Registered Nurse to provide direct clinical care to residents in our aged care home. You will lead the personal care team, coach staff, and ensure high standards of safety and compliance with policies.

The role requires current AHPRA registration post Bachelor of Nursing, knowledge of Aged Care legislation, and AN-ACC processes. Enjoy a values-based workplace across NSW with supportive teams.

• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar.
• Thorough understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes.

• Location - Darlinghurst
• Casual – (Thursday, Friday- AM and PM availability preferred).
• Pay rate – $47- $59 per hour + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Vincentian aged care, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
