Job summary

Catholic Healthcare is recruiting for a casual clinical nurse at our Darlinghurst aged care home. You will provide direct nursing care to residents, act as team leader, and promote a person-centered care approach within a supportive team environment.

Reporting to the Care Manager, you will follow best-practice procedures while ensuring safety and quality standards. The role offers casual hours including specific day/time preferences, with not-for-profit benefits and a values-based workplace.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge of aging health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Willingness to apply for Police Check and NDIS clearance

• Pay rate – $47- $59 per hour + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Vincentian aged care, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About The Role

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
