Job summary

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a Casual Year 2+ RN for our Wentworth Falls residential aged care home. You will provide direct clinical nursing care to residents with a person-centred approach under the Care Manager, reporting to the site leadership.

You will lead a small care team, coach staff, and ensure safe practice while complying with aged care standards and internal policies. This role offers not-for-profit benefits and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Year 2+ RN with AHPRA registration.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards.
• Understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes.
• Strong clinical knowledge of aging health issues.
• Coaching/training skills are desirable.
• Good emotional intelligence and conflict resolution.
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
• Competent IT skills.
• Willingness to apply for Police Check and NDIS clearance.

• Location - Bodington, Wentworth Falls
• Casual - Year 2+ RNs only
• Pay rate – $48- $60 per hour + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Bodington, Wentworth Falls, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar, you must be a Year 2+ RN
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
