Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Casula is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide direct clinical care to residents in a not-for-profit aged care home. You will lead a personal care team, coaching and supervising staff while ensuring safety and compliance with policies.

• Current AHPRA registration after completing a nursing degree.
• Strong knowledge of Aged Care legislation and standards.

• Clinical knowledge of aging-related health issues.
• Coaching and training skills.
• Conflict resolution with high emotional intelligence.
• Excellent communication and positive attitude.
• Competent IT skills.
• Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDIS clearance.

• Casual (PM and Night shift availability preferred)
• Pay rate – $48.50- $60.30 per hour + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Care Manager at Holy Spirit Casula, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age – related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
