Job summary

St Vincent's Health Australia is seeking a Registered Nurse for Year 3-8 in the Intensive Care Unit at St Vincent's Public Hospital, Sydney. Join a Level 6 ICU with advanced cardiac surgery, trauma service, ECMO and heart/lung transplantation programs, delivering high-quality critical care.

You will provide care in a fast-paced setting, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities within a renowned hospital precinct.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• 2+ years' experience in intensive care nursing and caring for sedated, ventilated patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU.
• Work with a broad clinical mix including General, Neuro, Trauma, Cardiothoracic and Transplantation.
• Provide high-touch care in 1:1 or 2:1 nurse-to-patient settings.

About the role

Join a leading Level 6 Intensive Care Unit providing groundbreaking cardiac surgery, a Level 2 Trauma Service, and statewide ECMO and Heart & Lung Transplantation services, where you will:

• Provide excellent care to critically ill patients and their families in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

• Work with a broad clinical mix of specialties, including General, Neuro, Trauma, Cardiothoracic, and Transplantation

• Provide high-touch care in a 1:1 or 2:1 nurse-to-patient setting where you can truly make a difference

• Utilise our state-of-the-art equipment, advanced monitoring systems, and leading-edge medical technology

• Receive ongoing education, specialised training programs, and enjoy a strong culture of learning and support

About you

• Registered with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency

• 2+ years' experience in intensive care nursing and the holistic care of a sedated, ventilated patient in a comparable service.

• Proven skills in prioritising competing workloads in a complex environment
