Calvary Home Care in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high-acuity client care across short- and long-term programs. You will work independently and as part of a clinical team, performing IV, wound care, catheter care, and education.

The role offers AM/PM shifts, part-time or full-time options, salary packaging benefits, and ongoing professional development within a mission-based organisation. AHPRA registration, clearances, and a car are required.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Nursing registration is required.
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience.
• NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Police Clearance within 6 months (or willingness to obtain)
• Use of own car – KM allowance provided
• Full driver’s licence and insured car
• CPR and Manual handling competency
• Experience in community nursing/Home Care Packages is advantageous

Responsabilités

• Administer IV, IM, SC and PO medications.
• IV cannulation, PICC line and Infusaport care.
• Wound care including compression and NPWT.
• Drain care and catheter care.
• Accurate documentation in client records.
• Communicate within the clinical team to ensure appropriate care.
• Complete initial assessments and develop care plans.
• Monitor and update care plans to ensure best outcomes.
• Deliver education to clients and families.
• Recognise and escalate clinical deterioration when needed

About the role

As a member of the Calvary Home Care team and as an experienced RN, you will provide care to high acuity clients from various short term/long terms programs. You will provide complex care to all clients by working both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities

• Administration of IV, IM, SC and PO medications
• IV Cannulation, PICC line and Infusaport care
• Simple and Complex wound care including compression and NPWT
• Drain care
• Male, Female and Supra Pubic Catheter Care and Education
• Accurate/Timely documentation in all client records.
• Appropriate communication within the clinical team to ensure appropriate care is provided.
• Complete initial assessments/develop care plans to ensure best outcome for our clients.
• Monitor and update care plans to ensure appropriate care is provided
• Deliver education to client and families to enable best possible outcome.
• Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration, with appropriate escalation.

What you bring

• Current AHPRA Nursing

• Candidates with an understanding of the community nursing sector - Home Care Packages, Department of Veteran Affairs and Commonwealth Home Support Program will be considered favourably
