Job summary

Calvary Home Care in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity client care across short-term and long-term programs. You will deliver complex care both independently and in teams, with AM/PM shifts, part-time and full-time opportunities, and ongoing education.

The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, care planning, and education for clients and families, in a mission-driven healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Nursing registration is required.
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience is preferred.
• NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Police clearance within 6 months or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV, IM, SC and PO medications.
• IV Cannulation and PICC line care.
• Wound care including compression and NPWT.
• Drain care and catheter care.
• Document accurately in client records and communicate with the clinical team.
• Develop and update care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate clients and families for best possible outcomes.
• Recognise deterioration and escalate when needed.

About the role

As a member of the Calvary Home Care team and as an experienced RN, you will provide care to high acuity clients from various short term/long terms programs. You will provide complex care to all clients by working both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities

• Administration of IV, IM, SC and PO medications
• IV Cannulation, PICC line and Infusaport care
• Simple and Complex wound care including compression and NPWT
• Drain care
• Male, Female and Supra Pubic Catheter Care and Education
• Accurate/Timely documentation in all client records.
• Appropriate communication within the clinical team to ensure appropriate care is provided.
• Complete initial assessments/develop care plans to ensure best outcome for our clients.
• Monitor and update care plans to ensure appropriate care is provided
• Deliver education to client and families to enable best possible outcome.
• Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration, with appropriate escalation.

What you bring

• Current AHPRA Nursing
• Minimum 1 year acute experience
• NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
• Police Clearance within 6 months (or willingness to obtain one)
• Use of own car – KM allowance provided
• Full drivers licence, reliable and comprehensively insured car
• CPR and Manual handling competency
• Candidates with an understanding of the community nursing sector - Home Care Packages, Department of Veteran Affairs and Commonwealth Home Support Program will be considered favourably
