Job summary

Catholic Healthcare is recruiting for a residential aged care nursing role in Mullumbimby, NSW. You will deliver direct clinical nursing care to residents under best practice guidelines while supporting and coaching the personal care team within a values-driven, not-for-profit environment.

The position requires current AHPRA registration, Bachelor of Nursing, understanding of Aged Care Legislation and AN-ACC processes, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• AHPRA registration is required
• Strong understanding of Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Good clinical knowledge of aging and health issues
• Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDIS clearance

• Location - Coolamon Villa - Mullumbimby
• 6 month leave cover starting November
• Pay rate - $48.50 - $60.30 per hour + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Care Manager, you will be providing a high standard of nursing clinical care with an individual, person centred approach to all residents within our residential aged care home.

About the Role

• Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
• Acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
• Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age - related health issues
• Strong coaching/training skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Competent IT skills
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
