Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is seeking casual Registered Nurses to join the NSLHD Casual Pool across multiple facilities in the region.

The role involves assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with patients and the multidisciplinary team, with opportunities across ED, ICU, neonatal ICU, perioperative services, dialysis and general wards. AHPRA-registered nurses with post‑registration experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Extensive post registration clinical experience within the acute care setting.
• Demonstrated effective communication with patients, carers, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrated commitment to person-centred and culturally responsive care.
• Basic computer literacy and demonstrated ability to use electronic health information systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in collaboration with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
• Casual pool opportunities at multiple NSLHD sites including ED, ICU/Neonatal ICU, Special Care Nursery, Perioperative Services, Dialysis and General Ward Nursing.
• Contribute to a supportive team environment and flexible staffing to match patient needs.

About The Role

As a casual Registered Nurse, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with patients and the multidisciplinary team. Casual pool opportunities are available in:

• Emergency Department (ED)
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Neonatal ICU
• Special Care Nursery
• Perioperative Services (Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics, Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Endoscopy)
• Dialysis
• General Ward Nursing (Medical/Surgical, Paediatrics, Specialty Wards e.g., Burns Unit)
• Primary and Community Health

Each site offers a supportive team environment and a variety of clinical areas to match your experience and interests.
