Job summary

NSW Health's NSLHD invites Enrolled Nurses to join the Casual Pool across sites including Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, AYAH Manly, Northern Beaches Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital in St Leonards. This casual role offers flexible shifts with minimum one week; supporting diverse clinical areas.

You will provide safe, person-centred nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, with opportunities to broaden your experience in acute care settings.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Post registration clinical experience as an Enrolled Nurse within the acute care setting and chosen specialty.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrated commitment in providing person-centred and culturally responsive care.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe nursing care using an individualised, holistic approach aligned with the goals of care determined by the Primary Nurse (RN).
• Casual Pool opportunities across a range of clinical areas depending on experience and competencies.
• Work under direct and indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Maintain minimum one shift per week to remain in the pool.

About the Role

As a casual Enrolled Nurse, you will provide safe and effective nursing care using an individualised, holistic approach aligned with the goals of care determined by the Primary Nurse (Registered Nurse). You will work within your professional role, Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice and level of competence, under the direct and indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with NSLHD and NSW Health policies.

Casual Pool opportunities are available across a range of clinical areas, depending on your experience, skills and clinical competencies.

This is a flexible opportunity to broaden your experience while contributing to high-quality patient care.

Please note: NSLHD casual pool staff are expected to work a minimum of one shift a week to maintain their position in the pool.
