Job summary

Mercy Health in Newcastle is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centred care in a home-based community setting. You will work with an experienced care management team to support older clients living at home.

This casual role offers flexible hours, with opportunities to deliver wound care, catheter care, medications and health assessments using validated tools, while building meaningful relationships with clients and their families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse in the community.
• Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Attend to community nursing services including wound care, catheter care, medication administration and health care assessment using validated assessment tools.
• Undertake health care assessments and make client referrals and recommendations in collaboration with the Clinical Lead and client Care Managers.

About the opportunity

• A nursing role helping older people live independently at home.
• A great balance of hands-on nursing care and working directly with the support of our exceptional care management team.

Required evidence:

• Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration and minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse in the community.
