Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a casual Registered Nurse to deliver community nursing care to older clients at home from Newcastle. You will provide wound and catheter care, med administration, and health assessments with support from the care management team.

Applicants must have Bachelor of Nursing, current AHPRA, and at least 2 years' community nursing experience, plus Police and Working with Children Checks. Availability on Mondays and Fridays is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration and minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse in the community.
• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Attend to community nursing services including wound care, catheter care, medication administration and health care assessment using validated tools.
• Undertake health care assessments and make client referrals and recommendations in collaboration with the Clinical Lead and client Care Managers.
• Provide patient‑centred care with a compassionate and flexible approach in home settings.
• Collaborate with care management team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
