Job summary

Narangba Aged Care invites a Registered Nurse to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. You will lead and support Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants, delivering high standards of clinical care and service to our residents.

The role requires delivering nursing assessments, care plans, medication administration, and collaboration with medical, allied health and lifestyle staff. You will ensure compliance with AN-ACC documentation and aged care standards while upholding residents'

Responsibilities

• Develop nursing assessments and care plans for residents in consultation with residents and the care team.
• Ensure directives from medical and allied health staff are carried out and outcomes evaluated.
• Investigate health changes and report to Clinical Care Coordinator/Facility Manager.
• Provide direct care and act as a role model for staff.
• Ensure AN-ACC documentation is completed in a timely manner with the Clinical Care Coordinator.
• Administer medications in accordance with regulatory requirements.

About the Role

Narangba Aged Care are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team on a permanent part time basis.

Our Registered Nurses provide a high standard of clinical care and service delivery to residents. They have a responsibility to lead, guide, and manage the Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistant team providing clear direction, allocation of duties, and support.

Our Registered Nurses will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Develop nursing assessments and care plans for new and existing residents, in consultation with the resident/resident representative, and collaboration with clinical, medical, allied health and lifestyle staff.
• Ensure that all medical and or allied health professional directives are carried out as ordered and outcomes are evaluated.
• Investigate any changes in the health or condition of residents and report to Clinical Care Coordinator/Facility Manager.
• Provide direct care to residents demonstrating expertise in contemporary clinical practice and acting as a role model for staff.
• Ensure accurate completion of all documentation required for AN-ACC submission is completed in a timely manner in consultation with the Clinical Care Coordinator.
• Ensure that administration of medications is in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.

About you

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

• Proven skills in clinical assessments and care planning.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage workloads according to resident needs and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of Aged Care Funding System, AN-ACC documentation requirements, and the Aged Care Standards Accreditation Process.
• A commitment to providing a caring and empathetic service to our residents while respecting their privacy, choices, and cultural preferences.

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

• Bachelor of Nursing degree and a current AHPRA Registration
• Willingness to obtain valid Police Check
• Australian/New Zealand residency or a valid working visa
