Job summary

Bayview Haven is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team on a casual basis, covering morning, afternoon, and night shifts across weekdays and weekends. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care, supervise junior staff, and support a collaborative multidisciplinary team in a welcoming coastal setting.

The role supports clinical leadership, medication management, and adherence to aged care standards.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, with no restrictions to practice.
• Experience in aged care or related healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of aged care standards, legislation, and best practice.
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and leadership in a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including night duty.

Responsibilities

• Complete funding assessments and clinical documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain high-quality, contemporaneous documentation reflecting care delivery and clinical decisions.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to Enrolled Nurses and Extended Care Assistants.
• Uphold confidentiality and ensure staff work safely according to policies.
• Provide clear shift handover and reporting to Care Manager and General Manager, identifying training needs.

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join our team on a casual basis. Successful candidates will be available to work morning, afternoon and night duty shifts across weekdays and weekends.

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality overnight clinical care, providing clinical leadership, overseeing safe and effective medication management, and supporting care staff to ensure residents receive exceptional, person-centred care.

We are looking for a reliable and adaptable Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years' post-registration nursing experience, previous experience in an In Charge role, confidence working independently on night duty, and a passion for delivering outstanding aged care. As Registered Nurse you will:

• Complete required funding assessments and clinical documentation accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance and supporting optimal funding and quality care outcomes.
• Maintain high-quality, contemporaneous documentation that accurately reflects care delivery and clinical decision-making
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to Enrolled Nurses and Extended Care Assistants, supporting safe practice and professional standards
• Always uphold confidentiality and ensure staff work safely and in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
• Provide clear, concise shift handover and reporting to the Care Manager and General Manager, and identify training and development needs within the team

About You
