Job summary

Employer Sponsored Jobs in Australia’s Australian Capital Territory is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a well-established residential aged care provider. This permanent role offers full-time or part-time hours, visa sponsorship for eligible international candidates, and a supportive team environment focused on resident dignity and well-being.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred clinical care while supporting health, wellbeing and quality

Qualifications

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Experience in residential aged care or similar clinical setting preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergencies.
Compassionate, caring and resident-focused approach.
Willingness to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

Provides safe, high-quality nursing care to aged care residents.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care plans.
Administer medications and monitor resident health outcomes.
Respond promptly and effectively to clinical and emergency situations.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care records.
Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and care staff.
Support residents and families with compassionate and professional care.
Promote residents' independence, dignity and quality of life.
Ensure compliance with aged care standards, policies and best practices.
Participate in handovers, care planning and continuous improvement activities.
Work flexible rotating shifts including mornings, afternoons and nights.
Contribute positively to a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.
