Job summary

Newcastle Private Hospital, part of Healthscope, is recruiting Registered Midwives for multiple roles across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal services, including Maternity Assessment Unit, Caesarean lists, Birthing Suites and Special Care Nursery.

The roles offer Full-time, Part-time and Casual options with a seven-day roster; salary is based on years of relevant experience and NSW/Healthscope Enterprise Agreement. WWCC and immunisation proof required.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience as a Registered Midwife in similar roles.
• Advocate for and implement individualised woman-centred care.
• Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work a seven-day roster including night duty.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work across antenatal and postnatal wards, Maternity Assessment Unit, Caesarean lists, Birthing Suites and Special Care Nursery.
• Deliver woman-centred care in antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, midwives, lactation consultants and educators.
