Job summary

Healthscope Hospitals is recruiting registered midwives for full-time and part-time roles at Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Randwick. You will work across the birthing unit and Special Care Nursery with a dedicated maternity educator to support upskilling, development and work-life balance.

You will deliver evidence-based midwifery care, liaise with the multidisciplinary team, and ensure safety for patients and staff while supporting families through the post-natal journey.

Qualifications

• Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Special Care Nursery experience advantageous.
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
• Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Works well independently and within a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering evidence-based midwifery care and provide exceptional patient experience to women and their families.
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Ensure patient and staff safety.
• Supervise, direct and guide midwifery/nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care.
• Deliver education and support to mothers and their families.
