Job summary

RIGCOM is seeking a Regional Manager to lead ACT and Southern NSW sales and operations for Height Safety, Inspections & Recertifications, and Rope Access. Based in Canberra, you will drive growth, manage resources and deliver projects safely and profitably, with occasional regional travel.

You will bring 5+ years in commercial operations, proven P&L experience, and strong leadership. Tertiary business qualifications are preferred, with proficiency in simPRO, Salesforce and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing commercial operations.
• Proven experience in project management and/or P&L responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of height safety and rope access industries and standards.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills across multiple projects.
• Formal tertiary business-related qualifications preferred; strong communication abilities.
• Experience with WHS, risk assessment, SWMS and safe work practices.
• Proficiency with business software: simPRO, Salesforce, MS Office; familiarity with similar tools.
• Industrial/private sector experience in manufacturing or contracting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the annual business plan and sales budget.
• Oversee sales and operations for ACT, including height safety, inspections & recertifications, rope access.
• Monitor project performance and profitability to maximise returns.
• Ensure adequate people, equipment and resources to meet budget and performance.
• Drive sales from quotation through delivery with field crews for timely completion.
• Collaborate with Business Development Manager to pursue opportunities with clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers for efficient delivery.
• Manage project variations and capture scope, cost and delivery changes.
• Prepare regular reports across finance, HR and sales activities.
• Track regional performance against budgets and KPIs and take corrective actions.
• Identify continuous-improvement opportunities in sales and operations.
