Job summary

Queensland University of Technology – Brisbane QLD is seeking a Regional Manager, China to lead the university's marketing, student recruitment, business development and partnerships across the region. The role develops and implements regional recruitment strategies and delivers market-specific initiatives to hit targets, while leading the regional team and managing agent networks.

The position is hybrid, with collaboration across International, Admissions, International Marketing and faculties

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Business, Marketing or International Business or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing and executing regional recruitment strategies to hit international targets and KPIs.
• Knowledge of policy, legislation and Australian regulatory framework for international student recruitment and admissions.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with education agents, institutional partners and government agencies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders and senior managers.
• Experience leading a team and managing budgets and resources to achieve objectives.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
• Working knowledge of a second relevant language.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the regional marketing budget and recruitment activities to meet targets.

• Remuneration:$161,241 to $168,919 pa (HEW9) (inclusive of $136,251 to $142,738 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

We are seeking a Regional Manager, China to join International, International and Business Development, Chancellery Division.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Manager, China to lead QUT's marketing, student recruitment, business development and partnership activities across the region. The position is responsible for developing and implementing the regional recruitment strategy and delivering market-specific recruitment and conversion initiatives to achieve student recruitment targets. The role will lead the regional team, manage education agent networks and relationships with institutional and government partners, oversee the regional marketing budget, and represent QUT at national and international recruitment and partner events. The successful applicant will work collaboratively across QUT International, Admissions, International Marketing and the faculties to advance the University's international recruitment and engagement objectives.

What you need to succeed

• Completion of a postgraduate degree in Business, Marketing or International Business or equivalent experience, education and/or training.
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing regional recruitment strategies and plans to achieve international student recruitment targets and KPIs.
• Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying complex policy, legislation, compliance requirements and the Australian regulatory framework relevant to international student recruitment and admissions.
• Demonstrated experience establishing and managing relationships with education agents, institutional partners and government agencies to support international student recruitment, marketing and business development opportunities.
• Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to consult and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders and senior managers in a professional and culturally sensitive manner.
• Demonstrated experience leading a team and managing budgets and resources to achieve organisational objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to promote a respectful, inclusive and collaborative workplace, consistent with organisational values, policies and workplace practices.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
• Working knowledge of a second relevant language.
