Job summary

Joss Group is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join the Bathurst team. This hands-on, generalist role supports managers and staff across the employee lifecycle, with a focus on the Cleaning division.

You will provide practical HR advice, handle recruitment, onboarding, ER, and policy interpretation, and contribute to improving HR practices. You’ll travel to regional sites as needed, maintain confidential records, and partner with leaders to optimise people programs within a regional business

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related HR qualification with significant experience.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment relations and interpreting awards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships at all levels.
• Ability to provide clear, practical advice to managers and employees.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach with discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, timely and commercially focused HR support across the business.
• Support end-to-end employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and offboarding.
• Prepare HR correspondence, employment documents and people-related materials.
• Interpret awards, legislation, policies and employment conditions.
• Support managers to address employee matters confidently and navigate complex situations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records; review and improve HR policies and processes.
• Travel to regional locations to support employees and managers as required.
