Job summary

JK Williams Contracting in Penrith, NSW, is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide day-to-day HR support across the NSW and QLD workforce. You’ll manage employee relations, oversee return to work coordination, and support onboarding, with a hands-on approach in a lean team.

You will work closely with the HR Manager, Talent Acquisition Specialist, and HSEQ, contributing to culture initiatives and maintaining HR records in the HRIS (ELMO) while ensuring compliance with Fair Work Act and

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Human Resources or demonstrated equivalent experience
• Current driver’s licence (Class C)
• General Construction Induction Card (Whitecard) or willingness to obtain
• Return to Work Coordination training (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees across NSW and QLD
• Manage employee relations matters — performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances, and workplace investigations
• Own return to work coordination for injured workers, including liaising with treating doctors, rehabilitation providers, insurers, and managers to achieve positive RTW outcomes
• Work collaboratively with the HSEQ team on workers' compensation, injury management, and safety incident matters
• Support onboarding and induction for new starters, and coordinating performance review cycles
• Maintain and administer our HRIS (ELMO)
• Support culture and engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and employee feedback processes
• Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and internal policies
• Handling HR administration, reporting, uniform and PPE ordering, and general support to the HR Manager
• Participating in external audits and maintaining the Company's Integrated Management System
