Job summary

D2 Group is seeking a Regional General Manager to lead our New Zealand and Australian operations. You’ll own the P&L, shape strategy, and lead a team of engineers, project managers and delivery specialists serving major food and beverage manufacturers.

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, you’ll have real autonomy to grow the business, engage with boards and clients, and travel between New Zealand and Australia. Base options include Hamilton or Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, process or related).
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification highly regarded.
• Chartered or professional engineering status advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for financial performance across NZ and Australia.
• Lead, develop and retain high-performing teams across both countries.
• Build and maintain senior client relationships and drive new business.
• Oversee project delivery from concept design through handover.
• Ensure sound commercial/contract management, risk control and safety culture.
• Collaborate with Group leadership and regional APAC offices.
