D2 Group is seeking a Regional General Manager to lead our New Zealand and Australian operations. You’ll own the P&L, shape strategy, and lead a team of engineers, project managers and delivery specialists serving major food and beverage manufacturers.

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, you’ll have real autonomy to grow the business, engage with boards and clients, and travel between New Zealand and Australia. Base options include Hamilton or Melbourne.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, process or related).
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification highly regarded.

D2 Group is a specialist engineering group headquartered in New Zealand, delivering process engineering solutions for food and beverage manufacturers across the Asia-Pacific region. About the role

D2 Process is looking for a Regional General Manager to lead our New Zealand and Australian businesses. You’ll own the P&L, shape strategy, and lead a talented team of engineers, project managers and delivery specialists serving some of the world’s leading food and beverage manufacturers.

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, you’ll be a key member of the senior leadership team, with real autonomy to grow the business and make decisions.

What you’ll do

Take full accountability for financial performance, growth and profitability across New Zealand and Australia

Lead, develop and retain high-performing teams across both countries

Build and maintain senior client relationships, and drive new business and pipeline development

Oversee project delivery from concept design through to installation, commissioning and handover

Ensure sound commercial and contract management, risk control and a strong safety culture

Work closely with D2’s Group leadership and our regional offices across APAC

About you

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, process or a related discipline), or a related field

MBA or equivalent postgraduate business qualification will be highly regarded

Chartered or professional engineering status (CPEng, RPEQ or equivalent) advantageous

Experience & skills

Proven senior leadership experience (GM, MD or equivalent) in process engineering, EPC or industrial construction

Strong background in food, beverage or dairy manufacturing, or a comparable hygienic process environment

Commercial strength: P&L ownership, contract negotiation and risk management on complex projects

A genuine business developer with a strong industry network

Right to live and work in New Zealand or Australia
