Job summary

Saputo Dairy Australia is seeking a Regional Fleet Training Lead to develop and support heavy vehicle drivers through coaching, classroom training, ride-alongs, and compliance activities in Gippsland. Based in Leongatha with regular travel to Maffra, you will build driver capability, ensure fatigue management and CoR compliance, and partner with transport leaders to close skills gaps.

Qualifications

• Experience in the heavy vehicle, transport, tanker, or logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of safe driving and heavy vehicle compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting drivers.
• Ability to conduct driver assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Strong organisational and administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver driver inductions, training programs, and annual driver assessments.
• Conduct ride-alongs and one-on-one coaching sessions with drivers.
• Support onboarding and development of new drivers.
• Ensure compliance with fatigue management, CoR, and mass management requirements.
• Work with transport leaders to identify training needs and performance improvement opportunities.
• Monitor and report on fleet and driver performance indicators.
• Support audits, governance activities, and training records management.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the region.
• Act as a trusted advisor to drivers and operational leadership teams.
