Job summary

Toll Group is seeking a dedicated Driver Trainer to join our team in Kewdale, WA, delivering high‑quality training, coaching and assessment for Toll drivers to meet legislative and safety standards. You will shape safe work practices and continuous improvement across the fleet.

The role focuses on driver competency, training recordkeeping and collaborating with managers to tailor forward‑looking programs. A strong safety mindset and relevant licences are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Workplace Training and Assessment.
• Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence (MC), DG licence/clearance (or willing to obtain).
• Knowledge of HV mass management, fatigue management, dangerous goods, load restraint, road transport rules and regulations.
• Experience as a skilled and competent driver/operator and as a Trainer/Assessor.

Responsibilities

• Deliver driver training programs (induction, onboarding, equipment operation, refresher).
• Conduct driver competency assessments and provide reports/recommendations.
• Coach drivers in safe, compliant, and efficient work practices including fatigue management and load restraint.
• Maintain training records and compliance documentation in line with Toll standards.
• Support investigations into driver incidents and help implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with managers to analyze training needs and plan schedules.
• Assist in developing training materials and SOPs.
