Job summary

Vinarchy, established in 2025, is seeking a Regional Financial Controller, East, to lead Corporate and Financial Accounting across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. This 11-month parental leave contract will head a team of five, ensuring timely financial reporting, governance and audit activities in a global business.

You will require CA or CPA qualifications with 8+ years’ experience in corporate accounting, governance, and leadership.

• Experience managing and leading accounting teams in a complex organisational environment.

• Oversee annual financial statements, consolidations and compliance reporting.
• Provide technical accounting guidance across complex accounting matters.
• Support audit, board and shareholder reporting requirements.
• Drive strong financial governance, controls and balance sheet integrity.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of five while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Regional Financial Controller, East is responsible for leading the Corporate and Financial Accounting function across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. You'll provide technical accounting leadership, ensure strong financial governance and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting across the Group.

This 11-month parental leave contract is a great opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a global business. Leading a team of five experienced finance professionals, you'll play an important role in supporting the team, partnering with senior stakeholders and ensuring the smooth delivery of financial reporting, governance and audit activities.

Joining an established and capable team, you'll have the support needed to make an immediate impact while gaining exposure to a complex international business.

Key Accountabilities Include:

What You'll Bring:

You'll be CA or CPA qualified with significant experience across corporate accounting, audit or advisory environments. You will have a strong grounding in financial reporting, governance, audit management and technical accounting, along with previous experience leading teams in a complex organisation.

We're looking for a people-first leader who can build strong relationships, provide clear direction and work effectively with stakeholders across the business. Strong communication skills, sound judgement and a collaborative approach will be key to success in this role.

Experience within FMCG, manufacturing or consumer goods will be advantageous, although not essential.

Essential Qualifications

• Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA) or CPA Australia.
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience within a corporate accounting, audit, or advisory environment.
• Experience managing and leading accounting teams in a complex organisational environment.
