Job summary

Victoria Police - Public Service Positions in Melbourne seeks an experienced Facility Manager for the Southern Metropolitan Region to lead a diverse portfolio of police facilities that support frontline policing.

You will lead a team responsible for facility maintenance, contractor management, service delivery and customer experience across the region, working with police members, executives and service providers to deliver safe, compliant and responsive infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading people and building a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Experience delivering outcomes in complex operational, infrastructure, property, project, facilities or service delivery environments.
• Strong judgement, problem-solving capability and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A commitment to customer service, continuous improvement and delivering practical outcomes.
• Experience in facilities management, property, construction, maintenance, infrastructure or related disciplines.
• Experience managing contracts, service providers or operational budgets.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a high-performing team focused on delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
• Building productive relationships with police members, executive stakeholders, contractors and service providers.
• Coordinating maintenance programs, service delivery activities and facility improvement initiatives.
• Managing contractor performance and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with agreed standards.
• Monitoring facility risks, compliance obligations and operational performance.
• Identifying opportunities to improve services, processes and customer experience.
• Managing competing priorities and providing leadership during incidents and operational disruptions.
• Contributing to strategic initiatives that improve facility services across Victoria Police.
