Regional Competition Coordinator – Central West & NNSW

Job summary

The AFL is seeking a Competition Coordinator to help bring community football to life across Central West and Northern New South Wales. This is a maximum term role (12 months) covering parental leave, with potential bases in Sydney, Coffs Harbour or Central West.

You will coordinate administration, fixtures, scores and events to deliver well-run competitions and great experiences for clubs and participants.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective administrative support for leagues and competitions across the designated region.
• Manage competitions and maintain accurate information within PlayHQ.
• Coordinate fixtures and support their smooth implementation throughout the season.
• Prepare and distribute league match-day paperwork.
• Manage scores, results and league ladders through PlayHQ.
• Keep league websites and social media channels accurate and engaging.
• Coordinate league events, including presentation nights and season launches.
• Provide regional support and specialist assistance to leagues through the hub environment.
• Support club development and umpiring within AFL Central West competitions.
• Contribute to projects that support growth and improvement of community football.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the regional team.
