Job summary

Australian Football League (AFL) is seeking a Competition Coordinator to support community football administration across Central West NSW and the broader region. This max-term role focuses on delivering well-run leagues, fixtures and competition information via PlayHQ, while engaging clubs, participants and communities.

You will work within a regional hub, coordinating events, scores, ladders, and communications to ensure positive football experiences and growth for local communities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the administration and day-to-day delivery that keeps community football competitions running smoothly across the region.
  • Provide effective administrative support for leagues and competitions across the designated region.
  • Manage competitions and maintain accurate information within PlayHQ.
  • Coordinate fixtures and support their smooth implementation throughout the season.
  • Prepare and distribute league match-day paperwork.
  • Manage scores, results and league ladders through PlayHQ.
  • Keep league websites and social media channels accurate, current and engaging.
  • Coordinate league events, including presentation nights, season launches and other functions.
  • Provide regional support and specialist assistance to leagues through the collaborative hub environment.
  • Support club development and umpiring within the AFL Central West competition.
  • Contribute to projects that support growth and improvement of community football.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support overall regional team success.

The opportunity

As Competition Coordinator, you will help bring community football to life across Central West and Northern New South Wales by providing effective and efficient administration for leagues and competitions.

Please note that this is a Maximum Term role covering a period of Parental Leave for 12 months.

Working as part of a collaborative regional hub, you will support the delivery of well-run competitions and positive football experiences for clubs, participants and communities.

This role offers location flexibility to be based in Sydney, Coffs Harbour or the Central West region.
