Job summary

Linfox is seeking an experienced Regional Business Development Manager to join the Intermodal team in Acacia Ridge, QLD. You will identify and secure new business opportunities, build long-term customer partnerships and design customer-focused supply chain solutions.

This senior role requires strong commercial acumen, proven tender leadership, and the ability to lead cross-functional proposals. You will forecast opportunities, collaborate with operations, finance and executives to deliver value.

Linfox operates one of Australia's largest and most critical Intermodal networks, delivering rail and road freight solutions that keep the country's supply chains moving. Aligned to our Driving to 30 strategy, we are focused on accelerating growth through strategic customer acquisition and expanding our presence across key markets.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Regional Business Development Manager to join our Intermodal team based in Acacia Ridge. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this senior leadership role will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities while building long-term customer partnerships that drive sustainable growth.

You will combine strong commercial acumen with operational understanding to design customer-focused supply chain solutions, lead complex tender submissions and influence key stakeholders across multiple industries. This is a highly visible role requiring a strategic thinker who can navigate large volumes of data, identify opportunities and convert them into commercial outcomes. Key areas:

• Identify, pursue and secure strategic growth opportunities across target markets, customers and industry sectors
• Partner with customers to understand operational requirements and develop tailored logistics and supply chain solutions
• Lead end-to-end tender, bid and proposal processes, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver compelling customer submissions
• Analyse customer, operational and market data to develop business cases, commercial models and growth strategies
• Build strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, positioning Linfox as a trusted supply chain partner
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking and business development reporting
• Drive commercial negotiations and contract discussions to achieve profitable and sustainable growth outcomes
• Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Finance, Safety and Executive stakeholders to ensure solutions are executable and deliver customer value

Are you the one?

• Proven success in senior business development, sales leadership or commercial roles within transport, logistics, supply chain or related industries
• Strong commercial capability with experience building customer solutions, negotiating contracts and securing new business opportunities
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret large and complex data sets to identify opportunities and support decision making
• Demonstrated experience leading complex tenders, bids and proposals from qualification through to contract award
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence customers, operational leaders and senior executives
• Strong presentation, communication and relationship-building capability with a customer-first mindset
• Strategic thinker with a proactive and solutions-focused approach to achieving business growth
• Experience working within complex operational environments and translating customer requirements into practical solutions
