Job summary

Linfox Australia is seeking an experienced operations leader for its Intermodal division in Regency Park. You will lead a diverse team across road and rail, drive performance, and champion safety and continuous improvement. The role focuses on delivering customer-focused outcomes and strong business results.

The position involves managing budgets, fostering accountability, and building relationships with customers and partners in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing large multi-functional operational teams in transport/logistics.
• Track record of delivering process improvements and commercial outcomes.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
• Ability to coach and develop future leaders in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, safety, compliance and IR in transport/logistics.

What does the job look like?

Step into a pivotal leadershipleadership role within Linfox Intermodal, one of Australia's largest road and rail freight networks. This is a unique opportunity to lead a diverse team of operational leaders and play a pivotal role in connecting customers and communities across the country. You'll drive operational performance, champion safety & continuous improvement initiatives, develop high-performing teams and influence the success of a critical operation within the national road and rail network.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity located in Regency Park, with a work schedule of Monday - Friday from 8am - 4pm. Key areas:

• Lead a team of operational leaders across road and rail operations, fostering a culture of accountability, safety and high performance
• Drive operational excellence through process improvements, agile decision-making and the delivery of customer-focused outcomes
• Oversee branch financial performance, including P&L outcomes, cost control, resource utilisation and operational efficiency
• Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors and key internal stakeholders to support service delivery and business growth

Champion a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to all regulatory and legislative requirements.

Coach and develop operational teams to strengthen accountability and drive continuous improvement across the business

Are you the one?

You are a proven operations leader with a passion for building high-performing teams and driving operational excellence. You thrive in complex environments and have a track record of delivering process improvements, strong commercial outcomes and a culture of accountability.You can demonstrate:

• Proven leadership experience managing large, multi-functional operational teams within transport, logistics or supply chain environments
• Success leading change, driving accountability and breaking down silos to create aligned, high-performing teams
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing operational performance, budgets and financial outcomes
• A track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, service delivery and operational performance.
• Experience building and developing future leaders, coaching teams and managing performance in a fast-paced operational environment
• Working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, safety, compliance and industrial relations requirements within the transport or logistics industry
