Job summary

Linfox is seeking a commercially minded and analytically driven Commercial Analyst to join the Retail Commercial Team on a 9-month fixed-term contract based in New South Wales. Located at the Erskine Park office, you will partner with operational and commercial leaders to deliver financial insights and drive performance across a national customer network.

This role offers exposure to large-scale contracts, sophisticated financial modelling, and meaningful impact within Australia's dynamic supply

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
• CA, CPA, or CFA qualification (or progress towards completion).
• Experience within commercial finance, management accounting, financial analysis, or business partnering environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver commercial reporting, analysis, and financial modelling to support performance.
• Develop pricing models, business cases, and commercial frameworks for key contracts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the business.
• Provide insights through analysis of financial, operational, and customer data.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain automated reporting tools, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Partner with stakeholders across operations, finance, and commercial teams to deliver outcomes.

What does the role look like?

Located at our modern Erskine Park office, you'll partner closely with operational and commercial leaders to provide meaningful financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and drive commercial performance across a complex national customer network.

This role offers the opportunity to work with large-scale customer contracts, develop sophisticated financial models, influence business outcomes, and gain valuable exposure to Australia's dynamic supply chain and logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver commercial and operational reporting, analysis, and financial modelling to support business performance.

You are naturally curious, commercially astute, and enjoy transforming complex data into actionable business insights. You thrive in a collaborative environment, confidently engage with stakeholders, and take ownership of delivering high-quality analytical outcomes.

You will bring:

• A degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• CA, CPA, or CFA qualification (or progress towards completion).
• Experience within commercial finance, management accounting, financial analysis, or business partnering environments.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience within Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Transport, Logistics, or similar operational industries will be advantageous.
