Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking an Aboriginal Cultural Capability Facilitator to strengthen cultural capability and safety across Liverpool, Campbelltown, and district sites. You will design, facilitate and evaluate cultural capability programs and work with staff to turn learning into culturally safe practice.

The role involves building relationships with Aboriginal communities, contributing to strategies, and supporting staff to work respectfully with Aboriginal people

Qualifications

• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is a genuine occupational requirement.
• Experience designing and delivering Aboriginal cultural capability training/workforce development.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and address inclusion challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design, facilitate and evaluate cultural capability programs and staff development initiatives.
• Facilitate conversations about Aboriginal culture, racism, bias and cultural safety.
• Contribute to organisation-wide cultural capability strategies and resources.
