Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) is seeking an Aboriginal Cultural Capability Facilitator to strengthen cultural safety across Liverpool and Campbelltown Hospitals and other sites. The role focuses on facilitating Aboriginal cultural capability training and turning learning into culturally safe practice for staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent demonstrated experience in developing and delivering programs in Aboriginal cultural capability training and/or workforce development.
• Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating cultural capability education and community engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships to address challenges related to cultural capability, inclusion and systemic barriers to create change.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Aboriginal cultural capability training across the South Western Sydney region.
• Support staff to build knowledge, understanding and confidence to work respectfully and safely with Aboriginal people, families and communities.
• Contribute to broader cultural capability strategies and initiatives that strengthen culturally safe workplaces and improve patient experience.
