Job summary

Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) invites applications for an Aboriginal Cultural Consultant (Learning and Development). This identified role focuses on designing, coordinating and delivering learning programs that strengthen understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and ways of knowing.

You will work with First Nations employees, CALHN leaders and stakeholders to promote culturally safe practices and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and delivering impactful cultural learning programs.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with Australian First Nations’ peoples and communities, employees and senior leaders.
• Strong communication, project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Understanding of the strengths, diversity and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the barriers to equity in employment and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver learning programs that strengthen understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and ways of knowing.
• Coordinate and deliver training to support culturally safe practice across professions.
• Provide expert advice to support meaningful learning and cultural safety.
• Engage with First Nations employees, CALHN leaders and RAP Committee to strengthen cultural capability.
