Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Appliances in Hazelmere is seeking an experienced Workshop Technician with a refrigeration background to diagnose, repair and test major home appliances in the workshop. You will work 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, and support two apprentices while expanding knowledge across the full Fisher & Paykel portfolio.

Your refrigeration expertise will be highly valued, and you’ll develop skills across washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and stoves as part of a premium appliance

Qualifications

• Strong experience in appliance repair, fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Solid refrigeration background with ARC Tick licence.
• Restricted Electrical Workers Licence is required.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical docs.
• Methodical approach to diagnosing faults and completing repairs.
• Interest in broadening knowledge across major home appliances.
• Ability to support and develop apprentices.
• Commitment to customer service and safety.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and test major home appliances in the workshop.
• Evaluate faults and determine the appropriate repair approach.
• Complete quality repairs and fully test products before they leave the workshop.
• Support and guide two apprentices, sharing practical knowledge.
• Continue learning through manuals and hands-on experience.
