Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Appliances is seeking a Workshop Technician with strong refrigeration experience to join our Customer Experience team in Hazelmere. Hours are 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday, working in a workshop to diagnose, repair and test major home appliances, with refrigeration as the primary focus and opportunities to broaden across other products.

You will diagnose faults, determine repair actions, complete quality repairs and fully test products before they leave the workshop.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years appliance repair experience.
• Solid refrigeration background with ARC Tick license.
• Restricted Electrical Workers Licence.
• Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
• Keen interest in broadening knowledge across major home appliances.
• Ability to mentor apprentices.
• Strong commitment to customer service and safety.
• Experience servicing Fisher & Paykel appliances is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and test major home appliances in the workshop.
• Evaluate faults and determine the correct repair approach.
• Complete quality repairs and fully test products before delivery.
• Support, guide and teach two apprentices.
• Read and interpret schematics and manuals to diagnose issues.
• Maintain high standards of safety and customer service.
