Job summary

Cold-Rite Refrigeration & Air Conditioning in Sydney seeks a Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team in Chipping Norton. You will lead maintenance, diagnosis and repair of a diverse range of refrigeration systems, and participate in an on-call roster.

Ideal candidates will hold a Cert III in refrigeration, ARC licence for refrigerants, a White Card, and a valid driver;s licence, with a strong safety mindset and commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Cert III in refrigeration.
• ARC Licence certification for refrigerants.
• White Card certification for construction sites.
• Valid driver;s licence.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call roster.
• Lead maintenance, diagnosis and repair of refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with advanced tools.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Maintain service activity docs using AroFlo (reports, logs, inventory).
• Build strong client and stakeholder relationships with proactive communication.
• Demonstrate knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls.
• Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance in all tasks.
• Communicate professionally with clients and teammates.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Participate in on call roster
• Take the lead in providing exceptional maintenance, diagnosis, and repair services for a diverse range of refrigeration systems, demonstrating mastery in your craft.
• Employ your analytical prowess to swiftly identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Embrace the challenge of responding promptly to service calls and emergencies, executing swift and effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize client satisfaction.
• Utilising AroFlo software you will maintain meticulous documentation of all service activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness in service reports, equipment logs, and inventory records.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders through clear and proactive communication, offering expert guidance and support.
• Demonstrate a track record of success as a refrigeration technician, with comprehensive knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls.
• Exhibit exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail, coupled with a commitment to upholding safety standards and protocols.

Technical Requirements:

• Possess a solid foundation in refrigeration principles and techniques, supported by completion of a Cert III in refrigeration.
• Hold ARC Licence certification for handling and using refrigerants.
• Hold White Card certification for work on construction sites.
• Maintain a valid driver's licence.
