Job summary

Freelance Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Pty Ltd in Sydney’s Homebush area seeks an experienced refrigeration technician to service and repair commercial and industrial systems. The role focuses on large, complex equipment and requires hands-on diagnostic skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

You will handle chillers, racks, Freon systems and ice machines, perform preventative maintenance, commissioning and testing, and input job information into digital

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience outside of apprenticeship.
• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade Certificate.
• Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration systems.
• Excellent diagnostic skills.
• Can work well individually and in a team environment.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to pass medical examination.
• Ability to work in accordance with OHS and safety requirements.
• Available to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Service and breakdown repair including inspection, analysing and troubleshooting faults.
• Systems include Chillers, Racks and Freon Systems, ice machines.
• Identify and report opportunities for repairs or equipment upgrades.
• Preventative maintenance, commissioning and testing.

As a result of our continued growth, we have an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our dynamic team, based in Homebush NSW. The majority of work will be around Sydney Markets.

We are looking for a refrigeration technician with experience on commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

Your role will be focused on large complex industrial refrigeration systems and equipment involving:

• Service and breakdown repair including inspection, analysing and troubleshooting systems and equipment faults.
• Systems include Chillers, Racks and Freon Systems, ice machines.
• Identifying and reporting on opportunities for unexpected, foreseeable issues/repairs or equipment improvement/upgrades.
• Preventative maintenance, Commissioning and Testing.
• Accurate input of information through various digital platforms.

This role would be ideal for someone wanting to move into a supervisor’s role in the near future.

Applicants must have:

• The ideal candidate: Technicians will have around 5+ years of experience outside of your apprenticeship.
• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade Certificate
• Australian Driver’s License
• Experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration systems
• Excellent diagnostic skills
• Can work well individually and in a team environment
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to pass medical examination
• Can understand and work to all OHS and safety requirements
