Job summary

Complete Staff Solutions is seeking experienced technicians to service commercial refrigeration and catering equipment across Wollongong, Illawarra and surrounding regions. You’ll diagnose faults, complete breakdowns, maintain equipment and install new systems in pubs, clubs, cafes and aged-care facilities.

The role offers full- or part-time hours, with remuneration based on qualifications and experience. Training from seasoned technicians and opportunities to advance your career are provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent.
• Current NSW driver licence and ARCtick refrigerant licence.
• Restricted Electrical Occupation Licence is required.
• At least two years’ experience in commercial refrigeration/service.
• Strong fault-finding ability and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair commercial refrigeration and catering equipment.
• Attend breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance and warranty work.
• Install, test and commission new equipment.
• Identify and arrange parts for repairs and installations.
• Manage service calls via a mobile job-management system.
• Produce clear fault reports detailing causes and actions taken.
• Inform customers and coordinate with the service coordinator.

Job description

Enjoy getting to the bottom of a tricky fault? We’re recruiting experienced technicians to service commercial refrigeration and catering equipment for pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafés, commercial kitchens and aged-care facilities.

Based in Wollongong, you’ll work across the Illawarra, Southern Sydney, the Southern Highlands and the South Coast. The work is varied: one job might involve diagnosing a cool room fault, while the next could be servicing an ice machine or commissioning new kitchen equipment.

The role

• Diagnose faults and repair commercial refrigeration and catering equipment
• Attend breakdowns and complete preventative maintenance and warranty work
• Install, test and commission new equipment
• Identify and arrange parts needed for repairs and installations
• Manage service calls through a mobile job-management system
• Complete clear reports on faults, their causes and the work undertaken
• Keep customers informed and work closely with the service coordinator

What you’ll bring

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, or an equivalent qualification
• Current National Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick)
• Restricted Electrical Occupation Licence
• Current NSW driver licence
• At least two years’ experience in a similar commercial refrigeration or service role
• Strong fault-finding skills and confidence managing jobs in the field
• Good communication skills and pride in doing the job properly

Experience with commercial catering equipment is highly regarded. This could include dishwashers, ovens, combi ovens, ice machines, cool rooms and freezers.
