CWS Refrigeration Australia PTY LTD is hiring Refrigeration & Air-conditioning technicians and Apprentices to service commercial systems across Sydney. The role offers hourly pay ranging from $35 to $65, plus superannuation and overtime.

Qualifications

• Valid Drivers Licence is required.
• White Card/General Induction Card is required.
• Apprentices must enrol in, or be willing to enrol in, a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Attend various customer locations to service and troubleshoot commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and identify opportunities for pre-emptive repairs.
• Handle refrigerants safely, including leak testing, recovery and charging, with accurate records.
• Work independently or with other technicians; apprentices work under supervision.
• Be available for on-call weekends and weeknights as part of a rotating roster.
• Complete app-based job paperwork detailing work and parts used.
• Monitor and replenish inventory in the vehicle.
• Liaise with technical team and office staff on job status.

Our services consist of installation, maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.

$35 – $65 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, plus super and paid overtime

Tasks & Responsibilities

Attend various customer locations to perform troubleshooting and service equipment in a commercial environment, including coolrooms, freezer rooms, display cases, ice machines, split and ducted systems, packaged units and VRF/VRV

Perform preventative maintenance works and identify opportunities to perform pre-emptive repairs

Handle refrigerant safely, including leak testing, recovery and charging, and keep accurate refrigerant records

Work both independently and alongside our other qualified Technicians (apprentices will work under the supervision of a qualified technician)

Availability to be on call over the weekend and on weeknights (working within our rotating roster)

Complete necessary digital (app-based) paperwork for each job including a detailed description of work completed and parts used or required

Monitor and replenish inventory in your vehicle

Liaise with our technical team and office staff on the status of works and provide updates as required

Qualified Technicians Will Have

Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent trade certificate)

Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence (full RAC)

NSW Fair Trading air conditioning and refrigeration certificate (qualified supervisor or provisional tradesperson)

Commercial refrigeration and/or air conditioning service experience

Apprentices Will Have

Enrolment in, or willingness to enrol in, a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

Some hands-on experience or a strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness and motivation to learn
