Job summary

Lineage Laverton North seeks an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join the Facilities & Engineering team. You’ll maintain and optimise refrigeration and facility equipment, work with operations teams, contractors and stakeholders to keep operations safe, efficient and compliant.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you’ll handle preventative and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and record-keeping to support a large-scale industrial ammonia refrigeration environment.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration Mechanic trade qualification.
• Experience working with industrial refrigeration systems.
• Exposure to ammonia refrigeration plants.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capability.
• Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems.
• Sound understanding of safe work practices.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Forklift and EWP licences advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on refrigeration plant and equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.

Refrigeration Mechanic - Hume Rd, Laverton

We’re seeking an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our Facilities & Engineering team at our Laverton North cold storage facility.

Working with industrial refrigeration systems in a large-scale temperature-controlled environment, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our operations continue to run safely, efficiently and reliably.

About the Role

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and optimisation of refrigeration and facility equipment to ensure operational uptime and compliance across the site. The role involves working closely with operations teams, contractors, suppliers and site stakeholders to maintain critical refrigeration infrastructure.
