Job summary

State of Victoria is seeking an Assessment and Transition Coordinator to support prisoners through assessment, parole, and release processes. You will help deliver programs and services that enable safer community transitions.

The role is fixed-term, part-time until 30 September 2027, with competitive salary and superannuation. You will work with prison staff, prisoners, and service providers in a collaborative setting to plan pre- and post-release support.

Qualifications

• Experience with risk and needs assessments and parole applications.
• Ability to work with prisoners, prison staff and service providers.
• Capable of maintaining accurate records and data for planning and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Complete risk and needs assessments and support parole applications.
• Help prisoners access transition and reintegration programs.
• Coordinate pre- and post-release support with prison staff and service providers.
• Keep accurate records and share information with prisoners, prison staff, Community Correctional Services and the Adult Parole Board.
