Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria is seeking an Assessment and Transition Co-ordinator to support people through their prison journey, assess needs, plan release, and coordinate services with others. You will develop transition plans, coordinate pre-release services, and maintain records to support parole and program delivery.

No mandatory qualification is listed; a tertiary qualification is highly desirable.

No mandatory qualification is listed for this role. A tertiary qualification in a suitable field is highly desirable.

You should have:

• knowledge of the transition and reintegration needs of people leaving prison.

• communication skills that help you work sensitively with diverse groups, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• problem-solving skills and the ability to work with people who may find support difficult.
