Job summary

SGC Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Recruiter to manage blue-collar recruitment for shutdowns, projects and FIFO rosters in the Perth area. You will source, screen and shortlist electricians, instrument technicians, riggers and trades assistants, ensuring compliance and timely placement.

You will collaborate with our mobilisation team, maintain robust candidate pipelines, and support the growth of both blue-collar and future white-collar recruitment capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting blue-collar, trades or labour hire.
• Mining, resources or FIFO exposure is highly regarded.
• Comfortable on the phone and able to build rapport with trades.
• Organised under pressure with strong compliance focus.
• Experience using ATS/CRM/ERP platforms.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen and shortlist trades for shutdowns and projects.
• Turn around short-notice crew requests (often 24–48 hours).
• Build and maintain a warm pool of reliable trades for future work.
• Check tickets, licences, medicals and references before submission.
• Coordinate handover to mobilisation for flights, accommodation and site access.
• Maintain candidate records and pipelines in the ERP system.

Recruiter – Blue Collar (Mining, Resources & Energy)

About us

SGC Australia is an Australian-owned, multi-disciplinary electrical, instrumentation and controls business with over 15 years' experience. We deliver projects and scopes for mining, resources and energy clients, from design, PLC/SCADA and panel manufacture through to construction, commissioning, shutdowns and maintenance. Our recruitment team builds the crews and supervisors who deliver that work, and our mobilisation team gets them to site safely and on time.

The role

Reporting to our Recruitment Lead, you'll own blue-collar recruitment end to end: electricians, instrument technicians, riggers and trades assistants for shutdowns, projects and ongoing FIFO rosters (2:1, 3:1 and more).

• Source, screen and shortlist trades for shutdowns, projects and rostered roles
• Turn around short-notice crew requests, often within 24–48 hours
• Build and keep a warm pool of reliable trades who want to work with us again
• Check tickets, licences, medicals and references before anyone is put forward
• Hand confirmed placements to mobilisation for flights, accommodation and site access
• Keep candidate records and pipelines up to date in our ERP

About you

• Recruitment experience in blue-collar, trades or labour hire, from agency or in-house
• Mining, resources or FIFO experience is highly regarded
• Comfortable on the phone all day and quick to build rapport with trades
• Organised under pressure, with strong attention to detail on compliance
• Experience with an ATS, CRM or ERP system
